KAKA

(Nestor meridionalis)

The Kaka displays playful and acrobatic flying. You can hear them chattering and 'gossiping' away in the tops of the trees. They are rare in the city so seeing them in Cornwall Park is a great treat. Have been seen in the mornings around the Archery Club car park and in the Norfolk pines in the Cornwall Park restaurant car park.
